ZetaBoards & zIFBoards (formerly InvisionBoards)

I have been keeping an eye on other board systems seeing as TapaTalk seems to be buying more and more; or is going into an agreement with more board systems.

ZetaBoards:
We are thrilled to announce that ZetaBoards is now part of Tapatalk.

ZetaBoards will be gaining full mobile features, as well as improved DDoS protection and SSL (HTTPS) support.

The additional resources with Tapatalk will help ZetaBoards server reliability as well as feature development. We expect to release a ZetaBoards update with many features and bug fixes in the near future. Updates on this will be posted soon.

And zIFBoards, previously known as InvisionBoards had this announcement:

We are thrilled to announce that zIFBoards is now a part of Tapatalk.

zIFBoards (formerly InvisionFree) has been a reliable forum platform for over 15 years. Tapatalk will build off this excellent platform by providing a fully featured modern platform for zIFBoards. This includes full mobile browser support, SSL (HTTPS) support, even more reliable servers, improved anti-spam features, as well as flexible settings and features.

We realize that some boards have chosen to stick with zIFBoards because of the familiarity of the user interface. We will be working to make the transition as seamless as possible, allowing users to preview the results of our work.

As part of the transition we will make it easy for a zIFBoards forum to select ZetaBoards or Tapatalk. Before any transition, we will also allow boards to do a full live demo of their board on Tapatalk.

So to sum it up here, it looks as if ZetaBoards remains as is with some improvements made and zIFBoards members are given the choice to go over to ZetaBoards or TapaTalk's format.

At least members of those boards are given an option in regards to what board system they want to go with, which is great news for them!

Yeah, but if you remember we were also told that we wouldn't have to move from Yuku to Tapatalk.

They said we wouldn't be forced.

I don't trust that Zeta might not do the same. It depends on how much Zeta has sold to Tapatalk or if they are just going to use Tapatalk's app.

Yes Sandy I remember all to well and lets just hope that Zetaboards has enough funding to keep their board system as is with only the app as extra!

Brad it has been a horrrid time for all Yuku members and so many disappointments etc so for your sake I truly wish Zetaboards to remain as is.

All boards could be at the mercy of Tapatalk if this keeps up.

Spice I agree and that is an uncertainty we will have to work with for the time being.

I posted on Zetaboards Facebook page and they assured me that we do get to stay with Zetaboards if we choose to. Of course we all know that can change. Time will tell!

I have opted out of Tapatalk and as long as it is not forced down my throat I shall remain with zetaboards.

Looks as if there is a storm about it on support about it, people having to have to pay tapacrap for support, not a lot of happy people out there

Oh wow that is bad then Mozzie en I haven't been keeping up with TT's crap lately but will check it out later in the day.

I know one can pay for supporter, which is like "gold" status for their boards so wondering if this is what that is all about and people are getting confused because of the terminology.

I don't know, a member on the support needed something and they wanted to charge him, it is all on zeta support in the tapatalk thread
