Ahhh I wish I would've known that! Lol I did each one and it was moving so slow,I had my son take over when I couldn't bare clicking any longer!

I sent back a reply that I was done, lets hope that did it cause I just got the same E-mail saying my board will be moved in 7 days.
Hopefully it'll be like you said, Zand, and the Beta will disappear after the actual board is moved....let them move the empty board!

I'm not going to request my board deleted even though it's not being used now, because I might have a think about how to use it to redirect TT members over to my board here on Forumotion.

I might do the same with one board too Sandy but I certainly don't want to have 4 boards of mine being moved to TT. Saying this I don't think it will do any good to move my skin boards over hahahaha so it should be interesting to see what happens with those.

First of the Photobucket link button will be gone and won't be coming back as Chris said there are too many bugs with that and PB is not fixing it!

Sorry but not sorry .... but I don't trust any of their processes and if you are smart you make sure you have a backup of your images!

And by stored does that mean they are there forever or can we delete them if we want.

So all those that had a go at their test board and got it set up have to start over again ... oh my goodness.

Then they have a warning where you can customize that says with new updates or whatever the customization that you have done on your board may be screwed up so "do it at your own risk!"  Then, it is the not much information given when you ask about stuff pertaining to TT. I know Chris has been told to say little because usually, she has more details than just saying "I don't know!" Then, only having one person dealing with it all at Support - is frustrating. Other supports you have dozens of helpers and you get answered quickly. I think Chris has been staying away but then found her at Freeforums at their support and then I think maybe she is taking turns. Anyway, I have found more information on TT and what their goals/vision for TT and it does not go with what I believe in. I also saw that to be "ad-free" and have other features that Yuku Supporter use to give is $5.00/month and that is much more than the $12/year. So no, I am not going to pay that for what ad-free when I can just use adblocker for free. I just opened up a board here and planning on getting an HTML page going for a website page for me. I will close the one board and archive the other.

Well all I can think of with the whole not telling us much is this "if you can't say anything nice; say nothing at all" and I think that applies to Chris not telling us much. Now I know this is not Chris's doing by the way so I'm not having a go at her but at TT themselves!

Man am I glad I started using Fotki and paid a 3 year subscription that is cheaper then PB's 1 year one! I went for the lowest one and it's called Premium100 and that one is US$1.53 per month so US$18.36 per year.

I forgot to mention that the cheapest option with Fotki gives you 100GB in storage.

So if you still want to embed an image on your board using PB you have no choice but to go for their Plus500 plan which will cost you US$399 per year.

If you want to just link your images without embedding them, then you could go for the US$99.99 per year subscription with PB.

No thanks ..... I better get started on saving images from any PB account I still have and upload them to my Fotki as well.
I will be closing all my PB accounts after that so this should be fun seeing all those "no image can be displayed" stuff showing up if I haven't changed the image url in my skins lololol.

I'm so over it! All the greediness that is showing with so many sites that used to lure us in is overwhelming to say the least.

I get by with my 2GB free storage , but I am not hosting a forum either .

Oh no I wished you would have posted about the intention of deleting before you actually did Little Elf!

There is a way to save all the images on PB



When you click on the image it will show those icons just above the image.
Click on the + icon as shown in my screenshot and it will give you the image view. Then right click and save.

You can even connect with friends on Fotki and share albums if you like or use their guestbook feature and much more.

You are in control what you allow others to see and I have over 20 private albums there lol.

In the Public Albums, visitors can leave a comment too if they want.
You can set prices for your own public photo's and sell them!
You can start a forum; this is nothing like on a board but one could just have a forum for their visitors to leave a post.

I got ten days ago a ..... in seven days your page will be...... pm and still, nothing has happened. Not that I care. I am going to archive it and just maintain it a little. But for the posts I have there,

Mine hasn't been moved yet either. I honestly think they don't know their backside from their elbow at the moment.

Well something is happening at Yuku because I spend most of today transferring my skin images. Now to be clear ... sigh ... most of those images in the albums I had, went missing over a year ago.
So I had to go into each skin's advanced css to get the url's ...open in a new tab and then transfer to Fotki.

And what do I see? yes the images all loaded fine in their amazon whatever doda thing ...but on transferring them they all showed as BMP files ...not the PNG or JPEG files that I've used.

I did a trial to see how they would look etc etc and they where out of focus and the file size trippled almost! WTH is all this? Serious to me it looked as if they are moving parts and we still have the ghost group there.

So I tried a different way and saved a few images to my computer. Those where PNG files which I double checked before saving the images. I clicked on save and clicked on "all files" just to see what would happen. Hahahaha the images saved on my computer became GIF files.

I have now saved what I could in regards to my skin images and tomorrow I am going to delete my albums ... enough is enough and I for one do NOT want my images to go to TT as I don't know how save they are there.

I started a group here on Forumotion, just to have a "place of my own" and to have some free image hosting....I'm having a hard time understanding just how much space is whatever Forumotion offers, so I'm really considering signing up @ Fotki

I just don't want to have to rely on only Forumotion's Servimg for the images so anything important to me is being saved on Fotki first. I do however use Servimg for say board icons here.

I know Brad and I am shuddering to think on what some boards look like now with all those huge PB can not be found images plastered all over the place!

I'm already seeing those big square images on some people's marquees. Where there was once a little button there is now blocks of shite 200px x 200px

Yeah I thought of that too Sandy so I save all the button/affiliate images to servimg and use my own urls for those.

I might do that for those that have them hosted on PB.

I'll check them all tomorrow.

Stopped over at yuku/tt support....oh boy...more and more unhappy members every day!
I'm curious just how many board owners/members will actually stick with it.
