I don't use my real name on Facebook. Not on any of my account there. I only use one of them any longer though. All the extras were for when I played those idiot games. I didn't want to make lots of friends to annoy with requests, so I made fake friends by myself hhahhaha. But even my "real" account is not my real name.

Good Morning
I've pretty much stopped using G+. It wasn't worth the time it was taking each day to keep up with notifications
I keep accounts at places that may or may not make me a little money, also flickr & viewbug of course, and one fun social forum besides this one.

I've never opened a Facebook or Twitter account with my real name or a fake one. Nothing about them has ever appealed to me. Some of my family use Facebook to keep up with each other and show their photos and stuff off but I'd rather pick up the phone or go and visit them since they all live locally.

Sandy I don't use my real name on G+; never have.

For me FB is nice because of my family being on there and they are too far away to go and visit in person so this way I get to see photo's etc. I must say I have a lot of family on FB so it's nice to stay in touch this way with all my cousins and nieces.

Thanks Vel Smile I just noticed that some text is so tiny that it's hard to read so I must go and find how to increase those bits.

Had a busy day today and yesterday was my resting day. Need to rest in between doing things as my back is still very sore and I can only sit for short periods of time.

I very much love Twitter.  I find out a lot of live news on that.  I just wish more people I personally knew used it.

FB is perfect for people like you Martha with family in various parts of the world.  Although I still think family messages boards would be a better way to share photos, stories and general life.  But it's the problem of getting family to bother with message boards.  I suppose FB is quick and easy to use for most.

Happy Hump Day!
It's so cold here in Vancouver today. We are sitting at just above freezing but trust me, nothing is thawing. We are expecting ice rain today. winds have started picking and even though the furnace is on, the house is cold with drafts. BRRR!

Evening Smile

Just watching the football "Pokal" here. I hope Dortmond wins this game, even though some of their fans need to be in jail. My favorite team is FC Bayern but Dortmond is my seconde fav. I watch the games alone, my husband doesn't like it at all. LOL. I'm weird.

I do go to Facebook each day. Mostly to scroll the jokes and see my family's posted pics etc. But I have added a filter to block crap. Anything that appears with that orange idiots name I don't see. LOL. I was so tired of seeing my apparently redneck family posting all that pro republican crap. Jeez. Hard to know these people are my family. I still love them but wonder if they have a brain lol. They probably think the same of me lolol. Whatever.

I do get tired of it though. I mostly just "like" pictures of dogs or my football teams Smile. Twitter .... I have an account, but I look at it maybe once a year. I just cannot make heads or tails of it, never could. I cannot stand all the "hashtags" LOL. Prob cause I am old now, I dunno.

Good morning friends Smile from a dull Perth. We're in for a downpour today and tomorrow with even flood warnings being issued! I'm pretty safe where I am but will stay alert.

Vel thanks for letting us know Smile and it's good we get to keep in contact here now!

I used to go for FC Bayern if The Netherlands where out of the game Becky! They play so very well.
Always loved soccer/football and when I was growing up the whole family used to go and watch my brothers play; so I grew up with it.

Elaine with that FB page you can send out invitations to your friends to come and join you on that page.

I need to get a move on and shower before the storm hits and then go and check on my daughter's dog for her while she's at work. He's so very scared of thunderstorms.

Oh don't mention football to me, lol.  I was a football widow for 22 years.  Football played a high factor along with other things that caused my divorce.

I've also started to go to Facebook more now.  One of my cousins posts great political links which I love to follow and read.  I just wish she would check out some of them for true or false first along with checking the dates of the article before she posts them.

With a page Elaine people "follow" rather than "friend" you as they do with a profile page.  But as Martha says you can send out invites for friends to come over and follow you.

Nice to see you both, Vel and Elaine, on here.

None of my dogs have ever been scared of thunder storms or fireworks.  I think they pick up on the owners attitude to things like that.

lol @ Becky. Apparently redneck cracked me up.

I've had two dogs that were scared of fireworks and bad storms. Considering I've had a lot of dogs that's not many but I don't think they picked it up off me or any of the other dogs. Some dogs seem to be born sound phobic. One of my Border Collies hated fireworks, vacuum cleaners being switched on  and the wind blowing plastic bags.

I better move and get some chores done before my granddaughter arrives. Once she's here I doubt I'll do much.

Oh plastic bags blowing are one of Louie's pet hates.  He scoots around them as if he has the devil on his tail.  Out of doors he's quite nervous of a lot of silly sounds at first until he sees what they are.

The other day he saw a cement mixer for the first time ever on the side of the road and freaked out, warning the mixer to stay away from him.  So I crossed over to it and the builder made a fuss of him.  So now he will associate a cement mixer in the future as something friendly.  The funny thing was, the cement mixer wasn't even turned on, lol.

I agree with Wendy in that some dogs just get scared and it has nothing to do with the owner. In Toby's case .. he's scared of strong wind sounds and thunderstorms and Natasja loves thunderstorms lol.

Morning all from a wet, windy and in some places flooded West Oz. We've had so much rain and such cold temps for this time of year that I think we hit a new record lol.
More thunderstorms forecast too so I will be online when I can.

Morning all.  I hope it's a good day for everyone.

When we are freezing here, you are supposed to be hot over there.  Seems you are having an early Autumn.

Good afternoon. Just gone noon and my last visitors have just left on a shopping spree to Manchester or Liverpool or somewhere or other. I plan on enjoying a relaxing afternoon watching some shows I've missed while they've been here.

It's windy and too chilly to venture out. That's my excuse anyway. Truthfully I just want some peace and quiet and a rest before manic  Monday strikes again.

Good luck finding somewhere you like Elaine. I'd probably have kicked him out of bed and made him go anyway. lol

I had a nice lazy few hours thanks Martha. Cleaning to do this morning. My visitors were slobs. lol Not really it's just my regular clean upstairs. Lunch at a friend's later with mum, sis and my niece if she's not working. Having my hair cut and coloured at the same time too. Having a sister who's a hairdresser is very handy. I do have to be careful what I say when she has a razor in her hand though.

It's always nice to have visitors but such a relief when they go.  I also need to get my hair cut and tidied up, and I think I'm fit enough now to sit long enough to have it done.  So I will get that done soon.

Yup, I had a lay in Martha, but only because I didn't go to sleep until gone 4am.

I hope you have a great drive out today Elaine.
