PostSubject: Furry Friends   Sat Feb 18, 2017 1:51 pm

I love dogs but don't have any myself anymore. Living in a 1 bedroom unit is just not enough space to have animals.
I am lucky in that both my daughters have dogs so I get to pamper and enjoy them whenever I want and then I hand them back again hahaha.

Do you have animals/pets?

Feel free to share some pics of your pets here Smile

Awwww! They are all so gorgeous.

I have to scan some photos of Katie before I can post them as there was no such thing as the web when I had her. Then I can post all 3 of my lovelies I have had.

Hahaha no way Wendy! I would never see the end of it if I did and all my "grand" puppies would pee inside to mark the smell of cat!

Loving this thread! Thanks everyone for sharing your photos of your pets/fur-babies.

We are a dog family...though none of mine right now...possibly a rescue in the future. For now, my youngest, Nicole has a 3-year boy-dog, Theo. He's a Border Collie x Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler). He's a ball of energy though once that's expended he is content to loll around the house. They live in their own condo but are here at my place every day and I watch Theo through the week...when he's not at doggy daycare.

Once I get images uploaded I will see to post some photos of Theo.

Cool. We don't have them here. Our closest would be a badger but they're very shy and secretive.

Badgers are a different animal altogether. She is a Raccoon, which is more like a small bear or a dog than a weasel. She is not afraid of anyone or anything. If you look at her she will stomp her front paws on the ground in a threatening way but will not back off for anything. My roommate tried to get her off the back deck with a broom but she stood her ground. Her claws are very long and sharp and she's super smart.

Yikes she sure sounds like a hand full then! I've heard of raccoons and they don't sound like passive pets to have lol. I guess they are not really pets so good luck with this one Elaine.

My friend used to regularly have them in her garden and mum would bring the youngsters along the fence too. Apparently she could be a bit nasty with them too if they riled her. She once knocked one of the little ones off the fence into the swimming pool and then just looked at it like it was an idiot. lol They're great to watch but I wouldn't want to mess with one.

Badgers are shy and secretive with underground setts Martha. Only out at night and definitely not pets. They can be very vicious.

The other thing I saw in my friend's garden one night was a possum. They're nothing like the Aussie ones though. It walked within a few feet of me, stopped and looked at me and then carried on as bold as brass. lol The most likely creatures you'd see in your garden here are foxes and hedgehogs.
