| With all the confusion and disillusion from Yuku members with the impending move to TapaTalk I thought it best to start a new thread just for that. Here's some interesting info for you .... https://www.tapatalk.com/getting_startedRight at the bottom of that page and something a lot of people will miss, it says: * If your community is hosted by Forums.net, please create your own Tapatalk Site Owner account and manually add your community to our network. There is no installation needed but you need to manually activate it by simply adding your community to Tapatalk. ** If your community is hosted by Proboards, your community will be automatically activated in Tapatalk. However, you do not have access to Tapatalk Site Owner Concole as Proboards team centrally manages all the Proboards communities in Tapatalk. So far I have not come across Forumotion in all of TT's handling and lets hope it stays that way! |

| Do you think there is a chance Forumotion will migrate too at some point? |

| No idea Little Elf but from what I've read so far is that if you use any board system, TT will have been approaching those systems to be added as their mobile app option. The difference is when said board system does NOT give you an option but basically forces you to use TT.
TapaTalk is a stand alone mobile app so that in itself is nothing new; it's when the users of boards/forums get forced to use TT and have their data moved into the TT database ... that is when I say ...ho hand on a second ... I want to make that choice on my own accord; not getting forced into it.
So having said all this, some board systems do give you that option and by the way things are going, that is the best we can get with a lot of board systems. If I get forced to use TT then that also means I will get forced to use their forum format and from what I have seen this might be ok for a bloggers forum perhaps but certainly not for a forum as we all have used with Yuku.
TT is cutting back on how you can spruce up your board and is taking away more and more option in the layout department and I for think it all looks horrible. |

| I hate being forced to do anything!
When I first heard of tt partnership with yuku, I (many others) was led to believe it was just for mobile users, and that nothing would change for those like myself that use a desktop
The one thing that made me choose yuku was the privacy, a thing that's completely lost with tt! I think we should've been warned that this "upgrade" (as they continue to call it) would expose our private e-mail to every board staff we've ever posted on! One can find out all there is to know about a person, through their e-mail, I am beyond mad about this!
I know I read on yuku support that :" all boards are like that, yuku was the exception"!...but at least we had a choice (not to sign up on other systems) now we don't! |

| Yes that is one of my main peeved of things too; the privacy is badly done and when I looked at my old personal board that got moved over, all I saw where very old private chats. Those I had to delete or hide again as they where showing up.
So not only did we get forced to move to a different system but with that came the danger of private stuff being left open to the public! How bad that is I can not even begin to say without swearing like a trooper!
It will take ages learning the new settings so in the mean time all is out for anyone to see! That is what I think is the worst thing of all, yet no warnings where made about that either.
What they should have done is move all boards as being MBA so that the board owners then got the chance and time to go through the settings etc etc etc.
For me if a system can leave your board so open like this, it tells me that privacy is not one of their strong points. |

| Oh my goodness I have just spend 2 hours deleting old topics and posts on my moved over board at TT.
There is a way to do a bulk delete apparently but when I go in to do so it gives me error after error and the only way to get rid of all old posts is by literally going into each topic and then choose delete at the bottom of the page!
Instead of just going into the ACP which is the admin control panel; the deleting is done by going into the category and then go to MCP which is moderate Control Panel and from there you are supposed to be able to do a bulk delete! Wish me luck as I'm still at it lol. |

| I found with the bulk deleting it would only bring up some of the posts and it seems just a long to fiddle around with the bulk deleting that it was deleting them one by one.
I gave up after a while but will go back when I have time to delete the rest. _____________________________________ |

| Well from what I gather what happened when I tried to bulk delete there was a lag and it would not load the bulk delete page.
I did notice that all topics that where supposed to be hidden or private where showing as faded topics on TT. |

| There appears to be a problem with posts/topics being deleted on TTSG.
The wheel grinds pretty slowly over there when folks need quick responses. |

| If I remember correctly TS84 the images saved in Yuku albums where being saved on an Amazon server so perhaps this is why they still show.
For me personally, I just moved all my images to my own private image storage spot just to be on the safe side. I just don't trust that one day the images will be gone from the old servers and I was not ready to risk that.
It's a decision each and everyone has to make for themselves. |

| Yes, you are absolutely right.
I did some 'testing' using a u.yuku.com account and I was able to upload .jpg, .png & .gif files yesterday to a Yuku album, which was another surprise.
It is best to have the originals somewhere safe, but I feel for all those board owners that were not prepared and suddenly found they had no access to their images.
Strange folks over there in TT management I am thinking. |

| What I find so bad with the whole thing is that all boards where moved over and none of the style, images etc was compatible at all.
My boards where skin boards and yes they where moved to TT but they are useless there as all the skins and coding was for the Yuku set up, not TT so they are just sitting there looking stupid now lol. |

| Brad yes I heard about that too.
You would think that they wouldn't want to risk loosing all those members like that, but this is now happening with the Yuku mob and more and more are veering away from TT and looking to set up shop elsewhere.
I do understand that just about everywhere one has to pay for storing their photo's/images as with the digital age we all store so much more in the cloud/online. |

I haven't had anything to do with yuku in years so where did they get that from? |

| It's because you would still have had a Yuku profile. When they closed the profiles down they moved any images we had stored there to the address in the email. _____________________________________ |

| Just now checked my TT stuff and I see on my home page https://www.tapatalk.com/home that Createaforum is now added there, which means Create a Forum is now also part of TT. No idea if they keep their own html or css but I'm not keen on spending time to figure it out either lol. https://www.createaforum.com/ |
